Keyboard Options for the New Macs
Apple now offers 3 models of keyboard :
1. Apple Keyboard (Wired) AUD $69.00
2. Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (Wired) AUD $69.00
3. Apple Wireless Keyboard AUD $109.00
The new iMac now ships with the compact wired keyboard (Apple keyboard) by default, but can order the Apple keyboard with Numeric Keypad as a CTO model with no extra cost, but delay the delivery date by 10 working days.
On the other hand, the new Mac Pro will be shipped with the full size Apple Keyboard with Numeric keypad by default and compact keyboard as optional item.
Of course, Mac mini customers can choose any of the three keyboards.
Do you know what you are getting ? Probably not if you are buying online and have not done your home work. It always pays to talk to your friendly and trust worthy mac consultant first before taking out your credit card.
I recently purchased the new mac mini(2.26Ghz) with 4GB ram and a 320gb HDD and i got the wireless keyboard without the number pad… must say it is pretty cool
